A delightful country pub with a cosy atmosphere, featuring quirky interiors that enhance the rustic charm. The food stood out. slow-cooked pork belly, though limited in vegetable choices, was well executed, and the desserts were a highlight—particularly the chocolate fudge cake. the room was dated, and while clean, it lacked modern amenities that could elevate the stay. Staff were busy but friendly, managing to remain welcoming amidst the rush.

I really enjoyed my time here! The homemade desserts were incredibly delicious, especially the rich chocolate fudge cake. They also had a fantastic steak that I can't stop thinking about. Although my room was a bit plain compared to what I expected from the photos, it was still comfortable. I'd definitely come back again!

Had an awesome time with friends! The location is perfect for checking out Notts Hollinwell and Birchall Golf and Leisure. Free parking is a big plus. The staff were friendly and welcoming and hassle-free.
One downside was the service during dinner. it wasn't great. The waitstaff seemed distracted and didn’t check on us enough.

spacious family room, lovely rural location, engaging restaurant atmosphere
Attention to maintenance details needed!!! A more coherent décor theme would elevate the experience substantially. Returning guests might want a clean, fresh-looking environment, not outdated furnishings!!!

Relaxing getaway with the pups
We had a fab time here! Super chill spot with friendly locals in the bar. The staff went out of their way to help us, and our Golden Retrievers felt totally at home. Rooms were comfy but a bit plain for my taste. Dining options were decent and they had special diet menus, which was a plus for our group.
